Te Ahi Kaa Programme

Gain Industry specific training and improve your self-confidence by participating in a free 4-week course that leads to fulltime employment,
delivered within a Maori Kaupapa framework and funded by the Ministry
of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE).

At the completion of this course students will have gained the following:

​

  • First Aid Certificate

  • Health & Safety training (Height Safety, Hazard ID & Risk Assessment)

  • SiteSafe or ConstructSafe

  • Literacy & Numeracy Support

  • Updated CV & Interview Skills

  • Tailored development plan

4 Weeks - Mon - Thurs 8:30 am - 4:00pm

Selection Criteria:  Lost job because of Covid-19 and wanting to get back into meaningful employment.

​

Course Cost:  Free

​

All learners who successfully complete the course will be offered a fulltime job. No experience is required however you must be willing to work in the building, construction, infrastructure, roading and allied trades.
