WELDING
NEW ZEALAND CERTIFICATE IN WELDING (LEVEL 3)
This programme is for those who are interested in pursuing a career in welding and is suited for either those new to the industry or those already in the industry.
This programme will provide ākonga with the necessary knowledge, understanding and practical skills that will enable graduates to safely perform basic welding tasks.

US2672: Weld steel to a general purpose industry standard using the gas metal arc welding process

Graduates of this programme will:
Graduates of this qualification will have knowledge and skills that will assist them into an entry roles in the welding, fabrication, steel construction or mechanical engineering industries. This qualification is a great foundation for those wanting to progress on to an apprenticeship in these industries as well.
Entry Requirements
Eligible learners must be one of the following:

a NZ citizen, and if employed, must have the full support of the manager and company, and

have access to appropriate supervisors/mentors at work for work experience an on job activities
